N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – About 24 weeks into the pregnancy, Troy and Jackie Trautman were told their unborn child had a complex cyanotic congenital heart defect known as Tricuspid Atresia Type IIa and a Hypoplastic Right Ventricle.

Heather Kurtz, a friend of the family, stated that before Ian Trautman was born that he would need surgeries to treat his heart defect.

This type of CHD will require at least three heart surgeries to ensure the heart will be able to function. The first operation will be taking place soon. The other two will be completed at 6 months and 3 years of age.

Jamestown’s Pizza Ranch will be hosting a fundraiser from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 7th. 25% of all sales from dine in, delivery and carry-out will be donated to the Trautman family. For more information or to volunteer, call Heather at 701-320-5804.
