N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s been reported by the Youth Risk Behavior Survey that North Dakota high school students are being bullied both online and in school.

The national survey, administered every two years, shows that seventeen percent of the students who were surveyed said they’d been bullied online. Twenty-five percent said they were bullied on school grounds.

Eleven percent of the North Dakota students said they’d attempted suicide in the last year.

Those numbers are all higher than national averages.

North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler says the numbers show the need for stronger partnerships among agencies that help young people.

More than 10-thousand North Dakota high schoolers took part in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey last year.
