N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office is warning rural residents of Jamestown of a high risk sex offender living in the area.

50 year old Timothy Alan Taxis is currently camping at the Park Hurst Recreational Area on weekends. Taxis was convicted in Stutsman County Court in 2001 for indecent exposure involving two 11 year old girls in a park and later following them in a vehicle.

He was also convicted in 1998 of indecent exposure involving a female employee in a video store. Taxis was convicted of gross sexual imposition on three occasions within one week when he exposed himself to young girls near tennis courts. On one of the occasions, he forced an 11 year old girl to perform a sexual act on him.

Taxis is not wanted at this time by authorities. Printed handouts of Taxis are available from the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.
