(NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown needed a pick me up in game two of their league series with Williston on Wednesday night at Jack Brown Stadium and they got it from their top-pitcher Brian Wenzel. After dropping the opener 10-7 in eight innings, Wenzel fired a two-hit shutout to win the night cap.

Jamestown won 5-0 in the second game with Wenzel allowing just two hits while striking out just two, but he’s a ground ball pitcher and was able to keep the ball in the infield. The win is Jamestown’s 8th of the season and just the second win in Class AA.

Tyler Ukestad did not play due his commitment to the North Dakota Shrine Bowl which is Sunday and Nick Fuchs is still out with a concussion.

Jamestown’s next match up is with Bismarck on Friday at Jack Brown.
