(NewsDakota.com)  After dropping their first game of the year to defending State Champ Dakota Prairie, the Carrington Babe Ruth baseball team has been on a tear.  They’ve won 18 straight games by an average margin of about 8.5 points per game, including five shutouts.  

Carrington traveled to Harvey last night for their last regular season game of the year, they swept Harvey 12-4 and 8-3.  Jayden Shipman was the winning pitcher in the first game and Drew Page was the winning pitcher in the second game.

The Babe Ruth League Tourney will be in New Rockford starting Friday, July 18th and running through the 20th.  Two teams will qualify for the State Babe Ruth Tournament in New Rockford set for August 1st – 5th.  New Rockford automatically qualifies for state because they will host the tourney.  The second team to go will either have to win the league tourney or finish second, but only to New Rockford.  Teams competing in the League tourney will be Harvey, New Rockford, Dakota Prairie and Carrington.
