(NewsDakota.com)  The Carrington Fire Department responded to a semi vs. car accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and Highway 200 just before noon on Monday morning July 14.

A white Buick LaSabre was traveling east on Highway 200 when it ran a stop sign and clipped another car heading northbound on Highway 281.  The white LaSabre landed about 200 feet from the intersection.  The gray northbound car was turned around and was hit by a semi tractor-trailer that was right behind it.  The tractor-trailer was attemping a left turn onto Highway 200 and was not traveling at a very high speed when it collided with the gray car. One person was transported to the Carrington Health Center with unknown injuries.

Traffic on Highway 281 was reduced to one lane for about an hour while crews cleaned up the scene.  Everybody was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not a factor.
