(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Post 19 American Legion baseball team split their doubleheader with the Wapheton Post 20 Junior team on Monday.

In game one, Post 20 scored seven runs in the fourth inning and looked to win the game via a 10-run rule scenario.  Post 19 rallied in the later innings, including a solo home run from Anthony Olson, but in the end fell short 11-7. Olson took the loss on the mound, lasting just two and two thirds innings, surrendering 10 hits.

The second game saw LaMoure regain their form for a 12-4 victory to split the doubleheader.

Post 19 is back in action Tuesday when they host Hankinson-Fairmount in a southeast region affair. Coverage on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com starts at 5:45, with first pitch scheduled in LaMoure at 6 p.m.
