(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Post 19 American Legion baseball team ended their regular season on a high note with a sweep of Galchutt on Thursday night at Townsend Field.

In the first game, Post 19 had a 3-0 lead answered by the Gophers in the fourth to tie the game. Anthony Olson started the bottom of the sixth with a triple, which was followed by a successful squeeze play attempt by Parker Stemen. Roddy Gentzkow, who came on in relief of Stemen held down Post 282 in the seventh to secure the 4-3 victory.

Game two was a blowout win for Post 19, as they torched the Gophers by a 12-2 score in five innings.

Post 19 ends the season with a record of 13-3, while Post 282 will head into the Southeast Regional Tournament in Oakes next Tuesday at 5-11. Coverage of all Post 19 games throughout next week’s tournament can be heard on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com
