N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Roughly 27 crew members are continuing to restore power to over 300 accounts after the storm that swept through the area July 21st.

Crews continue to work today and Northern Plains Electric Cooperative has reported that roughly 140 remain without power. In addition, power linemen from Dakota Valley Electric are assisting as well. Crews reported destroyed farmsteads, houses with roofs missing, grain bins moved and knocked over and poles broken in deep water.

Crews are reminding the public to remember safety. If you see a damaged transformer, broken pole or line on the ground, assume it’s live and stay away.
