N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Reno, Nevada man who led Jamestown Police on a brief high speed pursuit with two young children passengers has been charged.

38 year-old John Martin Rech has been charged with reckless endangerment, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence and refusal of a chemical test. Speeds during the pursuit reached more than 100 mph at times. The chase only lasted for about 10 minutes.

Rech is being held in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with bond set at $4,000. He is facing a Class C felony, with the maximum penalty at five years and a $10,000 fine. He is also facing two Class A misdemeanors, both worth 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine.
