(NewsDakota.com) Jared Meiklejohn hit two home runs, including a walk-off solo blast on the first pitch of the bottom of the seventh to clinch the 2014 North Dakota Class B Southeast Region Tournament Championship for LaMoure Post 19 with a 4-3 victory  over Enderlin Post 221 on Saturday afternoon at Cummings Field.

Meiklejohn’s first home run came at his previous at bat, a two run shot in the fifth that scored him and Brady Thielges. Anthony Olson also registered a home run to start of the bottom of the fourth inning. LaMoure only had two other hits, two singles by Drew Thielges.

20140727-162601-59161839.jpgEnderlin was not with there own exhibition of going yard; Adam Stenson connected for the first one, and hit of the day in the top of the third inning. Grant Lindemann had a solo round-tripper in the sixth to tie the game at three apiece, and also registered an RBI double in the fourth.

Roddy Gentzkow earned the win, with three hits allowed and two strikeouts. Stenson was the hard-luck loser, despite throwing 12 strikeouts.

Both LaMoure and Enderlin are heading to Langdon to compete in the 2014 North Dakota State Class B American Legion Baseball Tournament. Coverage of both clubs will be heard on Q101.1FM and NewsDakota.com.
