N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hunters are being reminded that pronghorn applications for the 2014 hunting season is August 6th.

The North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports that only North Dakota residents can apply. Hunters are encouraged to apply online at gf.nd.gov and people that have accumulated points and choose not to apply this year will not lose their points. New state law requires residents age 18 or older to prove residency with valid identification. Applications will not be process without the correct information.

The season is open only in the far Southwest corner of North Dakota. A total of 250 any-pronghorn licenses are available for the season. They are split into an early “bow-only” portion and a later “gun/bow” season.
