N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A young angler has shattered a state record that’s been held for 16 years in North Dakota.

9 year-old Velva angler Brayden Selzler’s Goldeye catch on July 25th weighed a total of 4 pounds, 12 ounces from Lake Audubon.

The original record of 3 pounds, 13 ounces was set in 1998 by Craig Unser of Mandan. Unser caught his record Goldeye in New John’s Lake.
