(NewsDakota.com) All three area teams came to play in the opening round of the 2014 North Dakota State Class B American Legion Baseball Tournament; each earning wins.

LaMoure easily sailed past Renville County 14-1 in four and a half innings in the first of the four games. Anthony Olson registered the first home run of the tournament; a three run shot in the second inning. Roddy Gentzkow and Jared Meiklejohn each had a pair of hits, and scored three times. Parker Stemen allowed the one Renville County run on four hits with five strikeouts.

Game two saw Enderlin roll over Burlington 13-0 in five innings. Daniel Lingren earned the victory; surrendering just two hits while striking out seven. Eight of the nine batters in the Enderlin lineup scored a run with Jorun Hamre and Grant Lindeman scoring twice.

In the final of the four games, Carrington Post 25 scored an unearned run in the bottom of the first, and it was enough for a 1-0 victory over Langdon Post 98.
