N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man has apologized after he admitted to stealing from people’s homes.

Chad Gourneau was arrested after police found he had stolen nearly $20,000 in coins, jewelry and silver while doing plumbing, heating, and cooling work inside residents homes. Valley News Live reports that two Jamestown residents called the Whistleblower Hotline after they had found that Gourneau had worked in their home.

Gourneau has been cooperating with police since being caught. He has admitted to have stolen from at least 12 houses, but police believe he’s stolen from more. He was formerly employed at Pioneer Plumbing in Jamestown.
