N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Home on the Range facility for neglected and abused children in Sentinel Butte will once again host the Champions (bronc) Match Ride rodeo on Saturday, August 2 at 1:00 p.m. MST.

Featuring the top saddle bronc riders and bucking horses in the country, the Champions Match Ride was created by the state’s top riders, including Jim and Tom Tescher and Alvin Nelson, nearly 50 years ago to raise funds to support the Home on the Range facility.

“I think over the course of nearly 50 years only two World Champions have not ridden at the Champions Match Ride,” said Brad Gjermundson, four-time World Champion, a multi-time winner of the event and current event organizer.  “We’re going to have 30 top riders again this year so it’ll be another great show.”
