CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) With high school sports starting up, North Dakota is looking for Men and Women who would be interested in becoming officials for high school athletic seasons.

Valley City High School Activates Director Marty Bratrud spoke with the school board earlier in the week telling members that the lack of officials is starting to become more and more of a problem throughout the state.

He and Dave Carlsrud are currently in the process of recruiting new officials. They will be holding meetings in Valley City for those who may be interested in becoming certified for any sport.  The school is also willing to help pay for certification.

Those who have interest in in becoming officials can contact Marty Bratrud at Valley City High School at 701-845-0483 or by email at martin.bratrud@sendit.nodak.edu.
