Jacobsen, 93, Valley City, ND passed away peacefully on August 22, 2014 at her granddaughter’s farm home cared for by all of her family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Rosalind Irene Webber was born March 10, 1921 near Karnak, ND to F.J. and Ellen (Dolan) Webber.  She grew up in the Hannaford area finishing 8th grade at Kent School in Griggs County school district.

On November 1, 1940 she married Talbert Jacobsen in Valley City.  They farmed and raised their family in the Luverne area.  She enjoyed ceramics, cooking, baking and sleep overs with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Upon retiring from the farm, they moved to Valley City where they spent their winters.  Their summers were spent at Strawberry Lake, Minnesota.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Ken, a daughter-in-law, Linda Jacobsen, her brother Charles, and her sisters Florence June Pickar and Gladys Bjornson.

She is survived by her son David (Carol) Jacobsen of West Fargo, her daughter Joy (Don) Schuler of Boerne, TX, her brother Walter Webber, Valley City, her grandchildren Kelly (Kimberly) Jacobsen, Kristi (Randy) Olinger, Twila (Pete) Dover, Shantell (Matthew) Olson, Paula (Mark) Thomsen, Trevor (Lisa) Jacobsen and Tricia (Tom) Breckheimer, 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephew.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 24 at 4:00pm at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Home with interment to follow at Luverne Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel.

Rosie loved flowers but she also loved giving.  Donations may be made in her memory to the Luverne Cemetery, Faith Lutheran Church Fire Fund or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
