FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) In their second meet of the season, The Hi-Liners boys tennis team was in Grand Forks taking on Red River. The Rough Riders showed why they are a heavy state favorite dominating the night with a 9-0 win over Valley City.

In number one doubles, Dalton Ondracek and Brandon miller had strong showing winning two games against two multiyear all-state players, Greg Wischer and Andrew Godon. Despite the loss, the match was a clear indicator that the Valley City tandem was on the right path to make the state tournament this year.

In the singles matches, Valley City’s Sam Jenson, Riley Miller and Collin White each took a game apiece in the respective matches, but no Hi-Liners could earn a set victory over the stubborn Rough Riders opponents.  

Valley City looks to earn their first win of the season when the Travel to Jamestown on Thursday night.
