N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 7th Annual Jamestown Community Block Party was back and bigger than ever Thursday, August 28th.

According to Larissa Patch, the intern for the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce, they had roughly 104 booths sign up for this year’s block party. The Chamber set aside some booths just in case there were any other businesses or organizations that wanted in later. Despite the gloomy weather and outlook, roughly a thousand or more community members and college students turned out for the event.

According to Dean of Students Gary Van Zinderen, the University of Jamestown has roughly 240 new students. These students, along with the returning students, were very much welcomed into the Jamestown Community.
