(NewsDakota.com)  The Central Dakota Titans (formely the Griggs Barnes County Titans) were in action last night at home against the Squirrels of Central Cass.  The Titans lost 44-6 and drop to 0-1, Central Cass gets their first victory under new Head Coach Nathan Lutkemeier and are 1-0 on the young season.

The Squirrels would draw first blood when Senior running back Noah Knutson, making his first varsity start, would rush in from 25 yards out to make it 6-0 in the first quarter.  The Titans would come right back when Junior Quarterback Jayden Grover would connect with Senior Wide Receiver Cole Diede for a 28 yard touchdown reception, the 2-point conversion was no good making it tied at 6.  The Titans would not score again as Central Cass put up five more touchdowns.  

Making his first varsity start as well, Junior Quarterback Jack Morris for the Squirrels would connect with Grady Bresnahan twice, Adam Breske and Jason Roesler for a combined four touchdowns.  Morris completed a 48-yard touchdown reception to Breske and a 62-yard touchdown reception to Roesler in the second quarter.  Then back to back touchdown throws to Grady Bresnahan from 20 and 25 yards out in the second half.  The last touchdown came in the fourth quarter when defensive back Tate Camas picked off Grover and ran it back for a 31 yard touchdown interception making it 44-6 with 1:38 left.  

Players of the game were QB Jack Morris for the Squirrels and Wide Receiver Cole Diede for the Titans.
