“Pete” Peterson, age 77, of Tower City, ND died Sunday, August 31st in Tower City.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 4th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and one hour before the service on Friday afternoon.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the church.  Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery in Valley City.

Pete was born August 21, 1937 in Hastings, ND to Gordon and Ruth (Lockwood) Peterson. On July 13, 1959, he married Faye Waters in Valley City, ND. In this marriage there were 6 children born.

Survivors include his 5 children, Gary of Jamestown, ND, Tammy (Steven) Richman of Tower City, ND, Roy (Kristie) Peterson of Gordon, NE, Peggy (Scott) Sandvik of Valley City, ND, and Ricky (Lisa) Peterson of Indiana, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Survivors also include his siblings Anna Mae Anderson of Valley City, ND, Harvey Peterson of Valley City, ND, Wayne (Diane) Peterson of Northwood, ND, John (Cindy) Peterson of Fargo, ND, and Brian (Diane) of West Fargo, ND. Pete is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Ruth (Lockwood) Peterson, his wife Faye (Waters) Peterson and daughter Marie “Cookie”.

Pete will be greatly missed by many people who had the pleasure of knowing him.
