N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Some Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative accounts are without power after a dig-in near a substation.

According to DVEC, roughly 140 accounts were without power in the areas of Ypsilanti, Montpelier and Adrian yesterday. At around 9:20 AM, the outage was determined to have been a dig-in at the Millarton substation. After sectionalizing the area, crews were able to restore power to a majority of the area.

Once crews dug up the cable and spliced it, they restored the rest of the power. All outages were restored between 11:30 AM and Noon.
