FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Hi-Liners boys tennis team dropped a well played match to West Fargo 7-2 on the road Thursday night.

The Hi-Liners wins came on the singles court. Riley Miller picked up a victory in #5 singles defeating Kamden Bear in straight sets (7-5, 6-4). Hunter Burchill picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Cameron Cook in #6 singles for the Hi-Liners second win of the day.

On the doubles court Dalton Ondracek and Brandon Miller had a strong showing against the Packers defending state champions, Brady Ballweber and Kayan Farhmand, in #1 doubles. The Hi-Liners duo held a 5-4  led in the opening set before dropping the contest by a score of 7-5. Ballweber and Farhmand would defeat the top team of the Hi-Liners in the second set 6-0.

The loss drops the Hi-Liners to 1-4 on the season with a 1-3 conference record. Valley returns to the courts on Tuesday at Fargo North.
