N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In accordance with a presidential proclamation, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple has declared September 11th as Patriots Day, marking the 13th anniversary of the terrorist attacks carried out against the nation.

Dalrymple is directing all state government agencies and encouraging North Dakotans to fly the American and North Dakota Flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset today. He is also encouraging citizens to observe a national moment of silence beginning at 8:46 AM EDT to honor those who perished on that fateful day.

Jamestown will be hosting Patriots Day activities beginning at 6:00 PM tonight at the All Vet’s Club. Following the commemoration program, a parade will follow.
