N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Necessary utility work in Jamestown will close off a section of public road for about a week.

Starting today, the intersection of 2nd Avenue & 2nd Street Southwest from 1st Avenue to 3rd Avenue and 1st Street to 3rd Street Southwest will be closed to through traffic. Work is expected to take approximately a week and traffic will be re-routed until repair work is complete.

Local businesses in the area of the closure will remain accessible and motorists’ should use extreme caution in and around the area and use alternative routes if possible.
