N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Barnes County employee Jamie Smith has been selected to receive the “Excellence in County Government” award. 

The Excellence in County Government Awards program honors county personnel who have shown excellence in their service to county government.

This award is from the North Dakota Association of Counties and will be presented to Jamie at their annual conference in Bismarck October 12-14. She will be recognized during the opening ceremonies October 13 at 8:30 am.

One county commissioner, one appointed official and one employee are selected each year statewide for this award. You can go to the NDACO website (ndaco.org) to learn more about the award criteria.
