CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A few changes are being worked on with the annual North Dakota Winter Show including the realignment of the former Women’s Division following the retirement and or resignation of all the women from the division earlier this year

North Dakota Winter Show manger Dawn Riley says the division has been renamed and anyone interested in joining should contacting Beth Didier or the North Dakota Winter Show office at 845-1401.

Former North Dakota Winter Show Women’s Division member Joy Berntson tells newsdakota.com that 2 women retired and 8 others resigned from the division.

Berntson says the reason the women resigned was due to a change over insurance liability concerning Women’s Division vendors who will now have to hold a $1 million insurance liability policy during the North Dakota Winter Show.

Berntson says so far, none of the women who resigned intend to rejoin or volunteer with the renamed Women’s Division events.

Meanwhile, Riley says other changes concerning the North Dakota Winter Show will be announced in the near future.
