N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The historic 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse saw a grand number of people during the open house held September 13th.

After being closed for more than 30 years, the Stutsman County Courthouse opened its doors to the public. The open house allowed visitors the chance to see renovations and tour the inside of the historic building. Interpreters throughout the day shared the history of the courthouse and answered questions.

According to Historic Sites Manager Guinn Hinman, roughly 1005 visitors viewed the building during the open house.

“We were only expecting 250.” Hinman stated.
