(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes Public School Board has scheduled a property tax hearing on Monday, September 29 at 6 p.m. in the Study Hall room, located on the first floor of the school.

Superintendant Josh Johnson says there has been a proposal submitted to increase the mill levy by 4.5 percent for the 2014-15 budget cycle to 70 mills. The 2013-14 budget cycle placed the mill levy at 67.2 mills.

The Board also plans a Special Meeting at 6:30 Monday night in the High School Second Floor Conference Room, which will feature a presentation by Michael J Burns Architecture of Moorhead, Minnesota and their designs of the future Central Administration Office; a project Johnson notes is being done with current funds.
