N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Hospice of the Red River Valley will offer free educational workshops for adults and youth who have recently experienced the death of a loved one.

Journey Through Grief is a free grief workshop for adults. The session will focus on understanding the grief process, common grief reactions, taking care of yourself while grieving and embracing memories. Pre-registration is required by Oct. 7 because space is limited. For your convenience, Journeying Through Grief will be held in three locations:

Lisbon, N.D.

    Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 6:30-8 p.m.
    Hospice of the Red River Valley office, 415 Main St., Lisbon.

Valley City, N.D.

    Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 2-4:30 p.m.
    Hospice of the Red River Valley office, 1240 West Main St., Valley City.

LaMoure, N.D.

    Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 2-4:30 p.m.
    Zoar Lutheran Church, 421 3rd St. SE, LaMoure.

Youth Journeys will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Fargo office of Hospice of the Red River Valley—1701 38th St. S. This free, day-long grief program is designed for youth, ages 6-18, who have experienced the death of a loved one. The day is led by grief specialists, and includes exploring what grief is and feelings associated with grief, along with identifying sources of support and methods of self care. Portions of the day include parent or guardian participation. Registration is required by Monday, Sept. 29; space is limited.
