N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation has recently stated that they would allow acreage they own near Spiritwood for potential crew camps.

During their board meeting, the JSDC approved to increase the originally recommended rent cost of $125 an acre to $600 an acre. The 30 to 40 acres of land would be used by CHS or the CHS General Contractor for a potential man camp. Vice President of Economic Development Holly Miller stated that at this time, it is not confirmed how many beds would be needed.

The estimated number of construction personnel will be rough 1,800 people for a three year period. There will be no property tax on the facility and includes water, sewer and natural gas service.

Stutsman County chief operations officer Casey Bradley announced that with 1,800 workers on site at CHS project, the total in county permit fees would be $540,000 a year with the proposed 1,800 beds in the crew camp.
