N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-Liners ran into another Eastern Dakota Conference road block in the form of Fargo South as they dropped their sixth straight conference match 3-1 (13-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-20) on the road Thursday night.

The loss drops the Hi-Liners to 5-12 in the conference with a 18-14 overall mark. They currently are in eighth place in the EDC Standings with just three games remaining.

Lead by Emily Stroup who tallied a game high 30 kills the Bruins were able to hold the Hi-Liners at bay for much of the match.

Claire Olson was the top scorer for Valley City doping 16 kills on Fargo South’s side of the net. Reagan Ingstad dished out 17 assists while Samantha Coit helped out with 13 of her own.

Valley City returns home on Tuesday when they host Grand Forks Central. That game can be heard on 1490 KOVC starting at 7:00pm.
