N.D. (AP) — Authorities say two hunters have been injured in hunting accidents this weekend in Sargent County.

Sheriff Travis Paeper reported that a 17-year-old boy was struck in the face by shotgun pellets while hunting ducks. He was hunting with another 17-year-old boy from Wahepton.

The injured teen was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Wahpeton with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 47-year-old man was also struck in the head with shotgun near the Tewaukon Wildlife refuge on Friday. His injuries were also not considered life-threatening.
