N.D. (AP) – Authorities are investigating another deer poaching case in southeastern North Dakota. A dead buck was found southwest of Streeter on Tuesday night. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department last week said four deer were found dead in a field east of Strasburg – two bucks, a doe and a fawn.

Deer gun season in North Dakota does not open until November 7th.

District Game Warden Jackie Lundstrom says deer poaching is a big issue, especially given the fact that the deer population is down.

There are no suspects in either of the poaching cases. Anyone with information is asked to call the Report All Poachers telephone number at 800-472-2121.
