N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown City Street Department Crews along with the City Forester will start their annual tree branch clearing in the Northeast section of the city beginning November 3rd.

Tree and shrub branches overhanging streets and alleyways in each area will be removed to prevent interference with traffic and City maintenance equipment in accordance with City Ordinances. Any tree branches interfering with the view of any traffic signs and signals will be removed.

Other things crews will look for are any totally dead branches above clearance zones and trees that have signs of hollowness in the trunk. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain tree and shrubbery. The clearance procedure is not a complete pruning of the tree.
