N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An Illinois man was injured after the truck and tanker trailer he was driving drifted and rolled, spilling a partial load of anti-freeze on Highway 32 near Oriska this morning.

57 year-old Richard Shores Sr. of Wood River, Illinois was traveling northbound on Highway 32 at around 9:40 AM this morning when he drifted and attempted to correct the truck by steering toward the roadway. The truck and trailer rolled and came to rest in the ditch on its left side.

Shores suffered serious injury during the crash and was flown from the scene to a Fargo hospital. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Valley City Fire/Rescue, Towner City Fire/Resuce and the Barnes County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
