N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2014 general election saw nearly half of North Dakota voting, seeing a total of 254,198 voters hitting the polls.

Stutsman County and Jamestown residents saw two separate measures on their respective ballots this year. Residents of Stutsman County voted no on creating the quarter percent sales tax to help fund the expansion of the new library. 3,035 voted for the measure and 4,223 voted against.

The fireworks ordinance change for the city of Jamestown saw a very close one, with changing the ordinance winning slightly. 2,715 voted for changing the ordinance and limiting the sales, detonation and use of fireworks within city limits and 2,522 voted against.

All of these numbers are unofficial until canvassing takes place.
