CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A truck with mechanical problems emanated so much smoke in the underground garage at the Landmark II building, it set off a fire alarm just before 11 o’clock Tuesday morning.

Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath says the owner was able to drive the vehicle out of the garage just before crews arrived on the scene.

Retterath says there was no damage to the structure. Crews cleared the smoke out of the garage once on the scene. No injuries were reported.
