(NewsDakota.com) – The Capitol city was the site of West Region boys hockey Friday night, and the Century Patriots remained undefeated on the season with a 5-1 victory.

The game was tied at one heading into the third period, but Bismarck exploded for four goals, including a couple in a span of :18 seconds, and never looked back.  Century out shot the Blue Jays on the night 43-9.

Jamestown Goalie Brian Wenzel kept the Jays in the game with 38 saves, including 23 in the first period.

The Blue Jays received a five on three power play goal from Kelton Beedy in period #2 that staked the Jays to a 1-0 lead.

Jamestown slips to 3-3 overall and 3-2 in West Region play. Century ups it record to 6-0 and 4-0 in conference play.

Next up for the Blue Jays is a trip to Mandan on December 27th to face the Braves. These two teams will play each other three times this season, with this match-up going in the books as a non-conference show down.
