CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Hi-Liners girls basketball team picked up their third win of the season with a 57-50 win over the Lisbon Broncos on the road.

Senior Guard Clarissa Olson got the Hi-Liners out to an early lead scoring the first four points of the game. While the Hi-Liners maintained the advantage through much of the first half, Lisbons Miranda Ripplinger brought the Broncos to within one at the end of the second quarter when she hit a three point shot from the left elbow as time expired.

In the second half the Hi-Liners turned to Rebekah Peterson who scored 12 points in the final two quarter to peak at a game high 15 on the night. Off the bench the Hi-Liners picked up big play from Reagan Ingstad who drove home 8 points in the victory.

Ripplinger led the Broncos on the score sheet with 12 points in the loss.

The win advances the Hi-Liners to 3-5 on the season. The Broncos fall to 2-7 on the year. Valley City returns to the court next Thursday when they travel to West Fargo.
