N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Democratic Representative Jessica Haak and Democratic State Senator John Grabinger are co-sponsoring a house bill to offer more protection for victims of stalking.

Haak testified Wednesday before the state house Judiciary Committee. North Dakota currently has no protection for unauthorized GPS and electronic device tracking used for stalking. The bill would add those actions as a crime under the new proposed anti-stalking law.

If passed, the bill would ensure law enforcement and prosecutors have the power to intervene in domestic violence cases as well as prosecute.
