(NewsDakota.com) After losing their first Class B District 5 game of the season earlier this week to the third best team in the state; the Carrington Cardinals, the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion Loboes got back on the winning side of things with a convincing 77-31 victory against the Oakes Tornadoes Thursday night in a district matchup.

The Loboes (13-3, 5-1 Class B District 5) scored the first points of the game four seconds into the contest, courtesy of a two from Anna Holen, and never looked back. LLM outscored Oakes 20-6 in the first eight minutes, and 22-6 in the second quarter; which featured a 13-0 run before the Tornadoes managed to score in period number two.

Jacey Alber lead the way for the visitors with 16 points, while Katrina Hoff and Holen put in 15 apiece.

The Tornadoes who suffered their worst margin of defeat of the season (3-13, 2-4 District 5) have now lost five games in a row. Oakes had a team high six points each from Quinn Vculek and Lydia Hansen.

Oakes will try to avoid losing six straight on Saturday, January 31 when they welcome Medina-Pingree/Buchanan as part of a doubleheader with the boys team. The Loboes are on the road Monday, February 2 against South Border.
