“Jim” Lundquist, 81, Henning, MN, died Friday morning, January 30, 2015 after a long battle with cancer at the Ave Maria Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Jim Lundquist was born December 15, 1933 in Clarissa, MN, the son of Reno Lundquist and Sylvia (Hayenga) Lundquist. He received his education at the local schools and graduated from the Clarissa high school in 1951. He attended McAlister College and later graduated from the Minnesota School of Business and received his Accounting Degree.

He and Marilyn Johnson were married December 18, 1954 at Clarissa, MN. They made their homes in Fort Knox, KY, Bloomington, and Blaine, MN, moving to Forrest Lake and Pelican Rapids, MN in 1969 to 1983 when he moved to Battle Lake, MN where he was in Agricultural Sales. In September of 2014 he moved to the Ave Maria Nursing Home and has resided there since.

He enjoyed fishing, but his passion was music. He played keyboard and played in Polka Bands when he was younger in the Ottertail County area.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Henning, MN; 2 sons, Bob (Lynn) Lundquist, Pelican Rapids, MN; Michael (Jenel) Lundquist, Pueblo West, CO; 1 daughter, Debra (Jerry) Steckler, Jamestown, ND; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
