N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Environmental Protection Agency and the North Dakota Department of Health announced that the City of Jamestown did not collect or report the required chlorine and chloramine residual samples during the months of October through December last year.

During those months, the city announced that they could not be sure of the quality of drinking water during that time. In a release, the City of Jamestown states that they regret the error in monitoring and reporting requirements of the Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule. They have also pointed out that steps are being taken to ensure adequate procedures are taken in the future.

The City sent releases to residential areas on February 28th announcing the failure to monitor. If you have any questions, you can contact the city at 701-252-5900.
