Leslie Osier, 57, of Valley City died on Sunday, March 15, after an eight-year battle with Fronto-temporal Dementia.

Greg was born in Lisbon, ND on May 2, 1957.  He grew up in Stirum, ND, graduating from North Sargent High School in Gwinner in 1976.  For a short time, he served in the U.S. Navy, where he sang in the Blue Jackets Choir.  Following his time in the Navy, his career path led him into welding, where he worked for a variety of manufacturing companies.  Most recently, he worked for DMI Industries in West Fargo, ND.

In the early 1980s, he married Patricia Eastman.  Together they had one son, Adam.  On June 3, 1994, Greg married Dee Leick of Valley City.  They made their home in West Fargo and together have three children, Cameron, Josh, and Alison.

Greg was a gifted artist and woodworker.  From the practical items to nicknacks he enjoyed making a variety of things, and has blessed many family members and friends by gifting them these treasures throughout the years.  He was a dedicated worker, handyman, and enjoyed adventure and the outdoors.  In all of this, he has blessed his family with his love.  The ways in which Greg was gifted are now carried on in his children and grandchildren.

Perhaps the greatest gift Greg leaves for his family is faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ.  Confidence in his Lord’s work on the cross has carried him and his family through the difficulties of a very pernicious illness.  It gives them a sure and certain hope that he is now with the Lord, and will one day rise again.

Greg is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Dee of Valley City; his four children, Adam (Courtney) Osier, of Finleyville, PA; Cameron of Fargo; and Josh and Alison, both of Valley City; three beloved grandchildren: Jacobi, Kaia and Mackenzie; three sisters: Lorrie Eiter of Foreman, ND, Tami (James) Moreland of Manvel, ND, and Tracy Hoffart of Brooklyn Park, MN; and one brother, Mark of Jamestown, ND. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Phyllis Osier, and his brother, Randy Osier.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Valley City, with the interment immediately to follow at Memory Gardens east of Valley City.
