N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2014-15 All-American teams were announced Wednesday afternoon and two University of Jamestown athletes were selected by the coaches as All-Americans. Both Brequan Tucker and Jessica Buck were named the North Star player-of-the-year and no surprise were the two Jimmies selected.

Buck became the second Jimmie women’s basketball player named to the first team since Jamestown joined the NAIA. Keri Bakker was named to the first team back in 2001. Buck is one of only three juniors named to the ten-player first team. She lead the Jimmies to their first ever national quarterfinal appearance in school history where they were knocked out by eventual runner-up Concordia on Saturday.

Tucker was the NSAA’s leading scorer and the unquestioned player of the year. It’s probably surprising for some that he wasn’t higher than a third-team selection. The Jimmies missed out the NAIA national tournament as the final team out missing out on the last at-large bid.
