N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County State’s Attorney has charged the man who led law enforcement on an early high speed chase through Jamestown on March 17th.

47 year-old Lee Charles Ellingson of Tracy, Minnesota was charged with four counts today including Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief, DUI, and fleeing or attempting to elude. Each class C felony is punishable by up to five years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to 1 year imprisonment and/or a $3,000 fine.

State’s Attorney in Stutsman County Fritz Fremgen anticipates an initial appearance and bail hearing will be conducted for Mr. Ellingson on March 19th by a Southeast Judicial District judge. Considering the nature of the allegations and Defendant’s ties to the community, Fremgen plans to request a cash bond sufficient to ensure the Defendant’s appearance at all court proceedings.
