CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) Sister Marguerita was born on April 6 1915 in Spring Valley, Illinois. She was born 24 hours before singer/actress Billie Holiday. When she was only one month old, Babe Ruth hit his first career home run off pitcher Jack Warhop on May 6 1915.

Sister Marguerita Guarneri has a good memory too as she reflected on her experiences in Europe just before the start of World War II and as a nurses aide at St. Margarets Hospital in Illinois and later as a teacher in Canada and in the U-S.

She with the help of Sister Marlyss walked into the KOVC studio to pick up her Birthday Certificate for a rose on April 6.

All the best to Sister Marguerita as she enters her 100th year. She resides at the Maryvale convent northwest of Valley City. She will also celebrate her 80th year as a sister this year.
